Studio Play…

As mention in a previous, “Image of the Week” post, I brought Ethan in to model for me to test out some lighting.  Turned out to be a very productive session as I wanted to get used to the lighting in the space, but also experiment with a minimalist approach.  No props, just one chair, and filling the frame with the subject only.

This image of the week was taken during a session in the new studio.  I’ve been trying to get familiar with the lighting in the new space, so I brought in Ethan and let him model for me.  It turned out to be a great session, and we created a lot of nice images.

 

Hunter – Halloween Mini Session…

So with the first Halloween Mini Session under our belt, my first thought was… this is going to be a lot of fun!!!  Our first little Halloween ghoul had a split personality, so we dressed him up in two outfits and let him loose.  It didn’t take him long to get into the spirit, and he did a fantastic job, thus we had a great session.  GREAT JOB, HUNTER!!!

After a large amount of cleaning, sweeping, painting, hanging, and just good old fashioned TLC in general, the studio is up and running.  With this said, everyone here at Barefoot Photography is looking forward to getting you, our valued customers, into the studio and in front of the camera.  We take great pride and pleasure in serving all of your photography needs, and are excited to share our new space with you!

Studio Update…

Hi all,

Just wanted to give everyone a quick update on the studio progress.  We are excited to announce that we just about finished getting everything ready, although like a home, there’s always something to do!

We’ve added a google map link over in the “Links You Should Know” section, so please feel free to take a look and get an idea of where we are.

In the near future, we will be announcing some great grand opening specials, so please stayed tuned as we look forward to getting you in front of the camera.

Take it outside…

When I receive a call from most of my corporate clients for head shots, my initial assumption is that they will take the status quo route.  Studio look, suit and tie, traditional, etc…  So, it’s nice when they inform me that they want to loosen up a bit and take it outside.  I’m a huge fan of natural light/outdoor shooting, so when we are outside searching for good light with a more laid back look, I really feel they make for fantastic images.

In this session, the client did just that, and wanted a more informal look and feel.  Lawyers tend to have the reputation for no-nonsense, so it’s great to make them look more inviting and friendly!

So, the moral of the story is this, if you are looking to have some head shots done, don’t be afraid to take it outside, and loosen up that tie.
